This large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom is beside the upstairs sitting room and above the main kitchen and has views onto the main courtyard. It is at the back of the house.
This place is a real find. It is very similar to properties you would find in Ireland’s blue book at about half the price. Naima, the manager, made us feel very welcome. This was a treat for my friends 40th and what a treat it was! - for both of us. We live in Belfast and the Manor House is like stepping back in time. We traveled 15 miles and about 200 years. The decor is incredible. The entrance hall (see photo) is something else. We checked in.... we were taken aback by the beautiful rooms. We stayed in Copelands and Crommelin. We had a soak in our free standing baths, got ready at our vintage dressing tables and after dinner at pier 36 we relaxed in the back sitting room with the fire lit and our feet up the chimney. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious,
This was a large and lovely home with extra large bedrooms and bathrooms. It included a delicious breakfast cooked and served by our host Naima. She was friendly and helpful. If you like antique furnishings, paintings and drawings and hanging out in the enormous kitchen then this is your place. You can walk to the pier, pubs and restaurants. The only downside is that many of the windows are stuck shut. The owners have not fully maintained the property. We opened one window in our room. The grounds also needed work (trimming and raking). Overall we were happy. We encountered a charming place full of life and light.
We stayed for 7 nights will visiting family in North Down , Namia made our stay so welcoming and calm that we will definitely be back .Manor House is like playing a part in a period drama , fine charming Stately Home with the most comfortable beds and enormous bathrooms. The Town itself has 3 or 4 of the best eating places in the whole of County Down. We will return.......
